A 1,200-room hospitality campus will combine gaming, entertainment, retail and dining as Planet Hollywood enters Georgia through local development partners.
Planet Hollywood Resorts International is bringing Planet Hollywood to Tbilisi through a newly executed licence agreement with Orbi Group and Block Group, in association with Iconic Entertainment. The project is positioned as Georgia’s first fully integrated resort, combining the brand’s entertainment-led hospitality offer with accommodation, gaming, retail and live events. Its significance lies in the scale of the proposed destination and the use of a locally partnered model for international expansion.
Currently under construction in the centre of Tbilisi, the development will form part of a 1,200-room, two-tower luxury campus. The scheme includes a 500-room Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino and a 600-room Radisson Blu luxury hotel, creating a combined hospitality proposition rather than a standalone casino or hotel. Planet Hollywood describes the Georgian capital as a market where historic character, hospitality and growing international visibility meet.
The resort is planned to include a 50,000-square-foot casino, a 4,000-seat entertainment and special events venue, and more than 70,000 square feet of Harvey Nichols retail. International dining, nightlife and lifestyle offerings will sit alongside the hotels and gaming facilities. The development is expected to create more than 2,000 permanent jobs, while further details on its opening timeline, entertainment programming and strategic partnerships are due to follow in the coming months.
The project extends Planet Hollywood’s existing resort and casino strategy beyond Las Vegas and reflects an approach that pairs a recognisable entertainment identity with large-scale mixed-use development. Orbi Group and Block Group bring local development roles to the project, while Iconic Entertainment is participating alongside the two Georgian firms. That structure places the brand within a broader destination platform in which accommodation, commerce and experiences are designed to operate together.
For Tbilisi, the planned campus represents a substantial addition to the city’s hospitality and entertainment infrastructure, although the available details do not yet confirm an opening date. For Planet Hollywood, the agreement provides a route into Georgia through a resort format that makes the brand’s restaurant, retail, lodging, leisure, gaming and entertainment activities part of one destination. The next stage will be defined by the project’s construction progress and the further operational details promised by its partners.
