LuminoCity Festival is returning its Dino Safari experience to Freehold Raceway Mall, combining illuminated attractions, family activities and seasonal programming through August 16.
LuminoCity Festival announced on June 18, 2026, that LuminoCity Dino Safari Festival is scheduled to return to Freehold Raceway Mall in New Jersey from July 1 through August 16, 2026. The outdoor pop-up is designed around an illuminated prehistoric setting, with more than 70 life-sized dinosaurs, 10-plus lighted pathways and 10-plus themed attractions. Its return places an immersive evening event within a suburban retail destination during the summer holiday period.
The experience reflects LuminoCity’s broader focus on immersive entertainment built from light, installation and themed environments. According to the company’s description, LuminoCity takes projects from concept and design through manufacturing and presentation, drawing inspiration from the Chinese tradition of lantern making. The Dino Safari format translates that approach into a family-oriented walk-through attraction, with dinosaurs, light sculptures and interactive activities presented as a single outing.
For the 2026 edition, the company said the Freehold programme will include an expanded Bounce Zone with a 25-foot Volcano Bounce, Neon Octo-Beats with a glowing DJ booth, an upgraded playground and additional light displays. Returning activities include Dino Speedway and Safari Dig, while Lumi’s Gift Shop is set to offer dino-themed toys and souvenirs. The release also said visitors will be able to watch traditional Zigong lantern artistry through on-site demonstrations led by Master Lantern Artisan Huang Xingxiu.
The event’s schedule is structured for evening visits: Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursdays and Sundays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. It is scheduled to be closed on Wednesdays except July 1. The official event page lists general admission prices ranging from $17.99 to $20.99 per person before taxes and fees, depending on the session and day, while children aged three and under are admitted free.
By pairing large-scale illuminated installations with rides, play areas, demonstrations and themed nights, LuminoCity is positioning Dino Safari as more than a static display, while remaining within the practical setting of a shopping-mall site. The release described additional programming including Dino Wranglers, Dino Bash, Dino & Explorer Night and a July 4 celebration. For LuminoCity, the scheduled Freehold run offers another seasonal expression of its light-art model, with the company’s stated emphasis on accessible family entertainment carrying through the event’s design.
