The destination is pairing tournament viewing with cultural programming, public installations and hotel packages as it positions Miami Beach as a fuller summer travel experience.
The Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority, also referred to as the MBVCA, is promoting Miami Beach as more than a place to watch matches during the 2026 World Cup. In a June 16, 2026 release, the authority outlined a summer programme spanning official watch parties, fan gatherings, heritage tours, cultural events and community celebrations. The approach links the tournament to the destination’s existing hospitality, arts and beachfront offer rather than treating match attendance as the sole reason to visit.
The public programming is scheduled to run throughout June and July and is intended to give visitors several ways to engage with the tournament beyond the stadium. Announced activities include gatherings at the Miami Beach Bandshell, cultural programming at SoundScape Park and celebrations representing participating nations. A Flags of Nations installation around the Miami Beach sign on Ocean Drive and a beach-wide scavenger hunt featuring 16-foot inflatable footballs are also part of the promotion.
The release also highlights REEFLINE programming at Lummus Park, where an installation is scheduled for June 14–28, 2026, on the beach between 11th and 12th streets. The project is described as an immersive arena combining art, marine education and sport, with a monumental pitch and oversized goals. It was created by PLAYLAB INC. as part of the Miami Host Committee’s “One Game, One Passion” legacy programme presented by Uber, and the release says it is designed to advance ocean literacy while highlighting REEFLINE’s conservation mission.
Hospitality businesses are being folded into the same travel proposition. The authority says Miami Beach properties are offering seasonal promotions and summer packages that may include resort credits, complimentary amenities, dining and wellness experiences, and extended stays. The release cites Hotel Greystone’s package with overnight accommodation, a $50 food-and-beverage credit, complimentary parking, rooftop access at Sora and a recovery kit, while Kimpton Surfcomber Miami South Beach is promoting a Play, Stay and Celebrate package with access to Hard Rock Stadium.
The announcement illustrates how a major sporting event can be presented as a destination-wide programme, with hotels, public spaces, retail areas and cultural venues contributing to the visitor experience. Lincoln Road is separately described as hosting international soccer activations, pop-ups and live match experiences at cafés and restaurants, alongside team merchandise, music and cultural events. The MBVCA is directing visitors to ExperienceMiamiBeach.com and its EXP Miami Beach Tours App for hotel offers, itineraries, dining recommendations, attractions and event information, keeping the emphasis on extending a match-related trip into a broader Miami Beach stay.
